Are you going to a conference soon? If you can, please share the network with anyone you think might be interested! We’re trying to bring palaeontologists and conservationists together! You can pop this flyer on one of your Powerpoint slides or print out some copies :)

Pelicans: a magnificent freshwater bird, once native to England, now lost. Today's feature examines when and, crucially, why these birds went extinct – and what it would take to bring them back to our wetlands. By @aukwardlucia.bsky.social. www.inkcap.co.uk/the-bones-of...

Happy 16th #NationalFossilDay! Fossils connect us to the lands we live on and the ecosystems we’re a part of. They show us that everything around us is here because of a 4.5 billion year story that’s still ongoing. I just think that’s magical. ☮️ ❤️ 🦕 🦣

#ICYMI 🐚 Paleontologists Carrie Tyler and Michal Kowalewski created a massive dataset of marine fossils to demonstrate for the first time that functional diversity can be accurately inferred from the marine fossil record. What is functional diversity? www.floridamuseum.ufl.edu/science/pale...
