A wander on Cromford Moor with the family this afternoon. A few mines found (thanks @willowglass12.bsky.social for confirming), lots of fungi, and a nice little colony of Ivy Bees #TeamMoth #bees #fungi

Afternoon wander on the Cromford Canal. I thought these on Hart's-Tongue Fern were going to be P verhuella, but looking at one of the larva it appears to be filicivora. A nice 3rd brood Wall butterfly and 9 Red Admiral seen. #TeamMoth #butterflies

A wander up the Cromford end of the Via Gellia this morning whist waiting for the car (new tyres). Several common mines and a single Epinotia tenerana found. A sign showing the work being done to combat Ash die-back. Some interesting videos on the 'Life in the ravines' website. #TeamMoth

Wogan banished with 5 moths of 5 species. Dismal record shots in continuous drizzle, and it's still not light at 0730 😒 . A fresh Mother of Pearl (Patania ruralis) was a surprise, along with a much less fresh Small Fan-footed Wave. #TeamMoth

I remembered a bush with dark berries from a few years ago. I had no idea what it was at the time, but it held a pair of wintering Blackcaps. Thought I'd check it out, and hey presto. The only thing I found on bramble was C marginea this afternoon.
