Funny that, on top of TONY, the other on-screen depiction of Anthony Bourdain's culinary philosophy this year is the sloppy but pulpy Adult Swim comic adaptation GET JIRO, a messy gumbo w/ too many ingredients & not enough seasoning. For @ebertvoices.bsky.social: www.rogerebert.com/streaming/ge...

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson poke just the lightest bit of fun at themselves in Apple TV's hokey sitcom BROTHERS; given how gossamer-thin the whole thing feels, one wishes the self-parody had more teeth. My review for @ebertvoices.bsky.social: www.rogerebert.com/streaming/br...

really beautiful that every single person who has pulled out of sheeran's tour has explicitly framed it around how no one should feel bad for them - situation sucks but we should focus on palestine and how we can help - and then ed is like "why is everyone so mean to me :( it's not MY fault"

RIP to Dolly Parton - as the son of a farmer, my house was filled with her music as a child; as I grew up and left more conservative confines, I was so glad I could bring her with me. Her values were still my values: hard work, discipline, care for others, and crucially, a sense of curiosity & joy.

Love to wake up in the morning to see Zionists mad at me reviewing movies that call the genocide in Gaza.... a genocide? And here I thought no one read me, awwww
I thought the review about the doctors working in Gaza was utterly disgraceful. Please could you remove me from your mailing list. I tried hitting the unsubscribe button but it just generated an email to myself.

This happens more and more often. Activists getting themselves into positions of influence in organisations and effectively taking them over. Amnesty International being another recent example. You should be ashamed of yourselves for such a review one sided and credulous. An utter disgrace.
