Definitely not a bot. Australian. Worked and lived in Australia, Britain, Germany and Malaysia. Retired teacher. Vehemently anti fascist. Born when Jews and other minorities and political opponents were being gassed and their bodies cremated.

Australia is doing better than other industrialised countries – our debt and unemployment levels are both relatively low – but it’s clear the government has to find something better than that if it’s going to cut through or win back votes from those drifting to One Nation, as Tom McIlroy warned.

Would the ABC be happier if the Australian Labor government, like the Coalition and One Nation opposed cost of living assistance, which the ABC insists is always "too little" or "too late" or both, as they drag in some failed businessman or coffee shop owner. ABC Garbage!

Victorian One Nation claiming a little hysterically "Jacinta Allen and Dan Andrews will be in prison by Christmas". So, like Trump, One Nation intends to abuse, even corrupt the law for personal vendettas and revenge? And Trump ended the war in Ukraine on day one, too. Didn't he?

How much has "low productivity" got to do with workers being paid by the hour not by task? There are many examples in a normal day of people standing or sitting around doing anything but working. Road works are the most striking example. Toyota service centres close second.

The removal of fees on credit cards doesn't go far enough. Banks have no reason to charge them in the first place. Surely it's much more expensive for banks to deal with cash than cards.
