He’s the chairman of this organization, no? Not sure what kind of org the Kennedy Center is, but if its a 501, there are some self-dealing rules that seem might be applicable here. If nothing else, fiduciary responsibilities in that role he sits in in his INDIVIDUAL capacity seem also applicable.

the solution isn't "fewer taxes on everyone but the rich" it's "more taxes for everyone but BIG TIME AND ESPECIALLY the rich." I’m a tax lawyer, not a policy expert (I just deal with the aftermath of the policy), but this is beyond reckless & stupid. How are we supposed to fund progressive programs with tax policies like this, especially after the gutting of our tax base from TCJA and OBBBA? I expect better from my senator

Army surgeon in WWII then ENT doc; wife was a nurse. Other grandpa was an English prof, and during WWII worked for the Army press corps and documented the Nuremburg Trials; his wife was a teacher who taught for Head Start in 1950's Louisiana; they got crosses burned on their yard for her efforts

Portland Frog got a shoutout by one of our speakers (who is from Portland) at the NYU Tax Institute. ICE raids were also a topic of conversation amongst attendees at the Institute's networking event last night. That this stuff is breaking through in a TAX conference really is something, IMHO
