Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I love the fox, the rabbits, and the mice! Are any still available? 110
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026@amightygirl.com so very disappointed in you. This is not the leadership young Jewish women want to see. You bought this position hook line and sinker without thoughtful consideration of what this message sends to your Jewish mighty girls. 001
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026It felt like every day for some period. Poor Other Matt, I’m sure it was so much worse! 000
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Niche joke for all @mattgertz.bsky.social fans following his suffering. A+! 190
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I'm not either, and I really think my friend's concern is very valid. One of many reasons I'm grateful my daughter didn't ultimately go there. And, as a Texan and UT alum (grad, not undergrad), it absolutely breaks my heart to say that I'm glad my child didn't go. 032
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Absolutely. Maybe not Eric, if he is a contingent beneficiary, but someone Trump effectively controls. 000
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026It would also allow other Trump creditors to satisfy judgments with the assets of the trust. I could be totally wrong, but based on the article that seems more plausible than a licensing deal. 151
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026But this is a big asset protection no-no! If I were these litigants, I’d look at whether he has exerted control, even indirectly, and if he has, this would pierce the veil of the trust and allow them to get to Trump (I’m sure they’ve done this). 161
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026This sounds like a typical asset protection trust structure meant to protect the assets of the ultimate beneficiary (Trump) by putting ownership and control into the hands of others (the trustee). Of course, because he’d rather feed his ego, he claims all over the place to own the asset 141
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Maybe I’m missing something (reading this in the security line at EWR), but this doesn’t seem to be a licensing thing. Seems he “owns” it in an irrevocable trust of which he is the beneficiary. So legally, the trustees own it, not Trump, which is his argument. 141
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026She said it’s primarily due to the auto admit policy because how UT looks is how Texas as a state looks (sorry, Bo). She’s worried the university regents will start to claw back that policy in order to whiten the campus. 2212
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026UT is actually a great example of this because of its auto-admit policy For students in the top 6% (used to be 10%) of their HS class. When I toured with my daughter last year, I noticed how diverse the undergrad population is and commented to a friend of mine who is a professor there. 1191
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I don't think the "Free Palestine" comment should be what cancelled him. It should have been this Jew face thing he did. It's simply not excusable and I struggle to believe he's really *that* stupid. 010
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 16/09/2026He’s the chairman of this organization, no? Not sure what kind of org the Kennedy Center is, but if its a 501, there are some self-dealing rules that seem might be applicable here. If nothing else, fiduciary responsibilities in that role he sits in in his INDIVIDUAL capacity seem also applicable. 021
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Going to need about an hour for my heart rate to come back down so I can go to sleep. What a game! Had 2005 championship game vibes! 001
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Yup. I should mention I'm a tax attorney practicing out of Austin, lol. Ugh, and don't get me started on the planes. You should DM me...I'm often in need of aviation counsel. 0170
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Yep. I love seeing these hysterical articles every time there's a new tax enacted. 110
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I have a multi-millionaire client who moved FROM Texas to MA two years ago! 070
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 10/09/2026If people are going to move, they'll do it for other reasons. Taxes are not one of them, in my experience. The "I'm gonna move because of your commie taxes" threats are all hat, no cattle I'm afraid. 0676
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 10/09/2026As a tax attorney who primarily works with ultra high net worth families for 20+ years I have a fairly large sample size to draw from, and I've seen tax flight happen exactly once (from CA to FL). And it wasn't b/c of new legislation--the client just had enough at some point and decided to move. 620326
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Fuck this guy and the plane he got deported on. Sorry/not sorry that the leopards ate your face, Milo. 020
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Right. Given we've had the same postal worker for so long, and I've voted by mail every year, the fact he raised this now was alarming. I was out of town and he said it to my husband when he collected the mail, so I didn't get to chat with him about it. I intend to ask him when I get my ballot soon. 020
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 01/09/2026bottom portion of this image is what the bearer designation looks like. 010
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 01/09/2026It's an extra piece on the outer envelope you fill out if someone is transporting the ballot for you. Sort of like a power of attorney to carry your ballot. But transport by mail is specifically exempted from this, which is why I was alarmed. 130
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I ended up putting it in the drop box, but this was the first time this has ever happened. I've lived in the same house for 9 years, voted by mail for 9 years, and have had the same mail carrier for 9 years. Never was an issue until this year. 030
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 01/09/2026This is completely anecdotal and may mean nothing, but when I tried to mail my mail-in ballot from my home in the NJ primary this past summer, our postal worker refused to take it. He said he was told that I had to fill out the bearer designation on the envelope to allow him to take it. 121
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I should clarify that we lived in Texas. We went to CO in the summer for vacation, and that's when this happened. It's like CO is a magical place w/ safe hitchhikers. My parents would NEVER have done this in Texas--we saw numerous hitchhikers on the highway when we would drive to Louisiana. No dice. 020
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 01/09/2026The two times in my entire life when we (by "we," I mean my parents and my elementary school aged-self in the early/mid-80's) picked up hitchhikers was in Colorado. And both times, after we dropped the person off, my parents told me never to do what we just did, lol. 100
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I love this woman. I'm not her constituent, but one of my immigration clients is. When USCIS sat on his work permit, jeopardizing his status, I called her office for help and they jumped on it. Had the issue resolved in a few weeks. Provided amazing service to someone who can't even vote for her! 1131
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 26/08/2026Welp. No more Buc-ee's for this road tripping family. 020
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 14/08/2026If it’s any consolation, if they have pending asylum applications, the govt already knows they live there. 220
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 04/08/2026Taking away subjects like this does such a disservice to ALL future professionals. I wish all doctors had to study philosophy and religious studies. I wish all lawyers had to study history and anthropology. Those of us who did are all so much better for our deep education in the humanities! 010
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 04/08/2026I guess my point is that for me, religious studies supplemented what turned out to be my pre-professional education (I didn't realize it was pre-professional at the time...I came to law later). I really think I'm a better lawyer for it (and for the intense writing component that came with it). 110
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 04/08/2026I was an RS major at a liberal arts college. I was not raised in any religion, but it fascinated me because I really saw it as a piece of the puzzle of understanding people. So I majored in it. I'm now a lawyer who has to understand people every day, and that major laid the groundwork for doing that 130
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 02/08/2026I ran into this in the early days of crypto. Nobody wanted to believe it was taxable. And they were *extremely* confident in that position. (One guy told me I should “shut up about things I don’t know anything about,” and make him a sandwich. That was when I stopped dealing with crypto bros.) 100
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 25/07/2026I did this once (accidentally) at my cousin’s place in rural Louisiana when I went for a run. I found out country dogs are territorial of their country roads around their houses. 0/10 would not recommend. Sounds better with friendly dogs! 110
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 24/07/2026I’ve done Pilates on and off for years and I absolutely love it for core strength. I would recommend starting with classes because form is key. Look for an instructor who is a stickler about form. You’ll be clumsy and awkward at first, but you’ll see improvement every week if you stick with it. 120
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Taking on my first detained asylum case. Seeing how HARD immigrants try to do things the right way and be good community members. Some have experienced horrific things in their home countries and still they soldier on here. Interestingly, this is the same thing that radicalized me. Our system sucks. 010
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Lawyers, now is the time to call your Westlaw rep and threaten to cancel the contract. Tax folks, I believe Checkpoint/RIA is now also owned by Thompson Reuters. 000
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 15/07/2026My grandmother had dogs named Gus (Gustavus Adolphus) and Ralph (just Ralph). Her sister-in-law had Jason and Hector. We continued the tradition with our first dog Nathan, and our current dog Ruthie. Huge fan of people names for dogs. This is the way. 000
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 14/07/2026I was yearning to be free. But not like this. Not like this. 29/29. 000
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 14/07/2026An unmarked car chases us. I must protect her. Those big eyes. That little body in those Bluey pajamas. A man jumps in front of my car. I try to stop. My head hurts, and I see the blue sky, the Bluey pajamas, those big eyes. “I tried to stop,” I say. But it’s too late. 28/ 100
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 14/07/2026In another scene, I am driving to the store. My daughter is awake early, as toddlers are. She insists we go to the store in her Bluey pajamas. I oblige. I must comply. Papa complies. Papas always do, when faced with those big eyes. 27/ 100
Cindy Grossman @clgesq.bsky.social · 14/07/2026I stop the van, but it’s too late. Bang Bang. Who has firecrackers at this time of morning? My stomach hurts. Red disperses from my shirt. I am unarmed. Harmed. 26/ 100
