I had to end my current Spider-man hyperfixation lol so we rewatched Spider-man 2. Still good, but - imo - It would work better if the main cast were like Ken Loach teens. Got more to say (we're watching clips on youtube lol) that first Hulkout scene puts us behind glass walls, behind tables etc...the set design is "boring science lab" which makes Hulk feel more realistic amongst the walls and ceilings. No Hulk portrayal has attempted this realism since 2003.

All frames must be perfect, all frames are observed at all times. I know i talk about Ang Lees HULK a lot lol but for me, it is the peak of practical/digital superhero experience. You cant pause it and go "yes this is hulk". The runtime is Hulk. Don't pause. Let it be.

Here's my thing about CGI from pre-social media: the effects existed for the experience of watching something in real-time. Why is CGI worse now? Because its designed for DIGITAL medium. And social media. No longer does a camera "capture" miracles, bc the now the audience will screengrab everything
