Was the entitled drivist from Pittsburgh(USA) by any chance? 😒 Sidewalk parking is a huge problem here. I fight with my neighbors all the time. I eventually got one of them a $150 parking ticket. He really hates me now. So nobody even parks in front of my house anymore. 🤣😈🤣😈🤣

I explained that there isn't a bench anymore & they should have a bike rack. Guard gave more static and some rando woman jumped in for good measure. I said I was going to lock it to itself inside the lobby in the corner with all the expensive wheelchairs. "I WON'T BE RESPONSIBLE!"

Getting my annual mammogram. The building doesn't have a bike rack. I used the bench outside for years until it was removed. Cars park in the traffic circle illegally. I pulled my bike into the lobby & locked it to itself. Today there was a security guard giving me grief. 1/2

I was on my bike and I saw a drivist run a red light on East St (Pittsburgh) and Tbone another drivist crossing on Tripoli St. I think both of the drivists were okay. This is why traffic rules exist. #bikesky

Hey @pogohbikes.bsky.social before you expand to the suburbs, you need to put at least one station in the poor part of the Northside. I bike and live on Spring Hill. If my bike breaks down the nearest bike kiosk is literally at my work on Federal St. Pogoh is useless for me.

Big red circle on map denotes the lack of bike share stations in the poor part of Pittsburgh's Northside neighborhood. Bike share wants to expand to the suburbs but hasn't addressed the inequality of bike share within Pittsburgh city limits.

Exactly. There is PLENTY of space for protected bike infrastructure on the 40th. Every time I have a confrontation with a Ped, I tell them to write to their city councilperson to get bike infra on the bridge. In the cItY oF bRiDgEs only ONE BRIDGE has protected 🚲 infrastructure. 😡

So last night, I said "🖕 this" & took the lane on the 40th St bridge @ 945pm from Lville to Mville. 2 lanes open in that direction. Had PAS on max but only gets to 18mph. Drivers flying past at 35-40 in 25mph zone. 😡😡😡 Close passed once. Screamed obscenities at them. 🖕drivists. 🖕Pgh for no 🚲 lane.

I am so tired of being forced to bike the sidewalk on nearly all of Pittsburgh's bridges. Three times in 5 days on 3 different bridges I have had to deal with pissy pedestrians. I ring my bell every time. There is signage to warn peds to share. I ride as slow as I can w/o dumping over.

Even as a predominant bike rider, I understand my responsibility to do NO harm. If you choose to drive, your number ONE job is to cause ZERO harm to vulnerable road users. If you’re not up for that weight of responsibility: walk, roll or take public transit. Driving isn’t a right.

Panther Hollow is a weird little neighborhood I had never been in. I came up underneath Schenley Dr. Had to loop around on Forbes (has bike infrastructure 👍) then rode around the Carnegie library back to Schenley Dr. It was CMU graduation & Phipps was having some plant thing so everything was CHAOS.

Rode my Velotric ebike from Spring Hill to Schenley Park for #pittonkatonk yesterday. Google wanted me to ride with traffic up over Polish hill thru Oakland. I preferred to take the protected Jail Trail (noisy AF bc it goes between the two sides of I-376). Then thru Panther Hollow.

My hotel is a 20 min mildly dangerous walk from Amtrak. The bus station is by the airport now. 😡 It looks like the red line might start running at 4am to get me into downtown, adding another 45 minutes to my travels. 😑
