It was such a treat to find these gorgeous little green cup mushrooms in the forest this morning. Usually all I can ever find is the bright turquoise mycelia in the rotting wood. Finding the thumbnail size fruiting bodies is pretty rare for me. Their colour is unreal. 🍄🌿

There is a corner of the internet I had never heard of before I started reporting this story. It’s called the “burnerverse”: a network of anon burner accounts ostensibly discussing college sports. But they have another goal: destroying young girls’ lives.🧵: www.wired.com/story/burner...

Maddie Kowalski is one of countless young women who’ve had their lives destroyed by the burnerverse, a loosely connected online community of sports fans. Now she’s fighting back.

The UK government is now actively engaged in shrinking the space available for civic engagement and opening up the space for violent engagement as the only terrain on which political action can succeed.

I run an MA programme on conflict studies and one of the first things we teach is conflict escalation and, well, the UK government is now an active agent in conflict escalation as it is clearly suggesting that violence is a way to have your political concerns listened to.

The legendary singer took on a saint-like aura for some fans.

I appreciate that Dolly Parton refused to participate in "dress respectability" and, by her own account, modeled her aesthetic after a town "tramp," who she thought was beautiful. She separated aesthetics from character and understood "classiness" to be about how you treat people, not how you dress.

Once again, @wolven.blacksky.app's work about magic and AI is vital. It's not just "robo-butler" they want, it's Bound Entity enslaved to master's will, serving their interests over and excluding its own. In such a cosmovision, the magician is empowered by God, and thus becomes God.

Then it was like "yea sure that's what someone about to get their account banned forever would say" and then I cried and when 8 tears hit the enter button its hunger for human suffering quelled & it gave me a person who fixed it and told me Always Be Blessed, Never Be Stressed & I laughed real hard
I was laughing so hard that I didn't take a full phone photo of my laptop screen where the Amazon person, who I do believe is a real person, says they're sending me another staple gun and more supplements and says to me thanking them "You're welcome! Before I end this chat, I just want to say "Always be blessed and Never (it cuts off cuz I was laughing but it says Never be stressed.
