PowerShell Universal 2026.3.3 has been released! Lots of bug fixes. The more impactful ones were related to the integrated security mode for cmdlets and the double serialization of JSON in apps. forum.devolutions.net/topics/56673...

Nothing to see here, just GitHub Copilot doing end-to-end testing of the MS-RDPEI extension in IronRDP by connecting with ironrdp-agent and sending pen 🖊️input events to draw a smiley 🙂 in paint and confirm the result with a screenshot 📷. It did all of that autonomously 👇

Found this gem my friends made of me when I was 20 years old, clowning how much I loved Robert Vieira's SQL Server books. Those Wrox books were the first that spoke to the audience like coworkers and not like robots ala Addison-Wesley. Now I love @manning.com, which is casual but accurate.

Linus Torvalds, my man! *finger gun emoji*

per linus torvalds: I realize that some people really dislike AI, but this is an area where I'm willing to absolutely put my foot down as the top-level maintainer.

Linux is not one of those anti-AI projects, and if somebody has issues with that, they can do the open-source thing and fork it.

Or just walk away.

AI is a tool, just like other tools we use. And it's clearly a useful one.

It may not have been that "clearly" even just a year ago, but it's no longer in question today.

There are other questions around AI (like what the economy of it will actually look like in the end), but "is it useful" is no longer one of those questions. Anybody who doubts that clearly hasn't actually used it.

Yes, it can also be a somewhat painful tool, both for maintainer workloads and just from a "it keeps finding embarrassing bugs" standpoint.

But the solution is not to put your head in the sand and sing "La La La, I can't hear you" at the top of your voice like some people seem to do.

Having a whole lot of fun this week with Fable and Sol. Sol I'm reserving for front-end work, so I've updated @mutesky.app finally! And now I'm building a Dragon Quest-like front-end for Infocom's Wishbringer! The reimagination of the original map took my breath away 🤯

Hand-drawn fantasy map titled "Postal Zones Festeron, Anharia & Vicinity," shown with a letter and number grid overlaid. The map depicts a coastal settlement with roads, scattered buildings, a central fountain, wooded areas, fields, and a church on a rocky island connected to the mainland by a narrow bridge, with water surrounding the eastern and northern edges and a compass rose in the lower right.

Pixel art landscape viewed from behind a young traveler standing beside a loaded bicycle on a hill, holding a glowing egg and looking over a winding road through a cozy seaside village. A lighthouse rises from a rocky island at sunset on the left, while a towering dark castle beneath a swirling purple vortex dominates the distant hills on the right, creating a contrast between peaceful countryside and looming fantasy danger.

Anyone have any dashboard designs that are 1. USEFUL and 2. BEAUTIFUL? Claude said Datadog is popular but the screenshots I'm seeing on Google Images are 90s. Vercel looks more modern. If you love a dashboard AND find it useful, what do you love about it?

Oleg was right, after all. His premise was that burnout is caused primarily by a lack of progress. For years, I struggled with serious burnout, and his article rang so true for me. Now, even more so. With the kind of progress I'm making with AI, I can't remember the last time I burned out 😍

I just cant even believe this is my machine, it's from 2023 but I'm still so in love.

Windows Task Manager CPU performance view showing dozens of small graphs for each logical processor on an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, with most cores lightly active and occasional sharp spikes, while overall CPU usage reads about 7 percent at a high clock speed, humorously implying a massively overpowered processor barely breaking a sweat.

Interesting! My cousin just put up a Mardi Gras Tree.

Christmas tree decorated in Mardi Gras theme with green, purple, and gold ornaments, beads, ribbons, and masks; the topper is a half-open purple and teal umbrella over a glittery purple clock face, blending festive holiday and South Louisiana carnival elements in a cozy living room setting.

I cannot underscore how fucking horrible it is to experience Holland's NYE with their fireworks culture that I had NO IDEA existed. Since October, we've had increasing levels of bomb-sounding fireworks. I don't even want to live here anymore.

The Floods of 2021 in Belgium and Germany killed a lot of people I but didn't realize it was close to 250. After seeing large highways being flooded, we bought high-end life vests and left them on our backseat floorboards. Just heard a man in Puget Sound died in his car; pls consider life vests too.
