Love to see the echoes of power in the landscape here's Restormel Castle and just south of it the Roman fort - both located on the tidal and navigable River Fowey (part of a N-S riverine route across cornwall), near iron mines, and S of the main road to w Cornwall and its tin (now the A30)
black and white lidar image imposed over an Ordnance Survey map. A river winds up the right of the image. Near the top on a headland is a large circular structure, just southeast of it is an equally large but much less pronounced square structure with a larger square enclosure projecting around the western end. These are the Castle to the north and the roman fort to the south.

Love a sassy footnote (from Cunnington 1929 "Woodhenge", p184) (The joke here is that ogs crawford is the editor of @antiquity.ac.uk being referred to here as disagreeing with ogs crawford the author of Wessex from the Air)

Playing with it a little, here's archaeology
a line graph showing enrolment in archaeology programs ranging between 4300 and 4700 students. It is about 4700 in 2015/16, drops fast to 2018/19, then starts rising again to about the same as 2015/16 by last year

Strong recommend for this excellent comic book recounting the excavation and occupation of a 19th c queer quarter in Sheffield England
I am holding up a thin graphic novel. The cover is a drawing of a white man in workman's clothes carrying a bag and walking towards an industrial city. The title is "Hollis Croft. A matter of time" on the bottom text reads "a historical comic book by Miki Rajic illustrated by Dave Howarth"

The flag of the Capital Territory is not bad, but i do think it's got a rather over inflated sense of self
The flag of the ACT is a blue yellow and white landscape rectangle. The left quarter is blue with a white southern Cross. The right three-quarters is yellow with a modified crest of the city of Canberra centred. Two swans flank a blue sheild. The left Swan is blue (ie, black) the right Swan is white. On the shield a white castle is centred. Below it is a white rose (the york rose). Above it in white is a crossed mace a sword.
