This is a huge stain on the integrity of what this competition is. This club has, according to the panel, corrupted the top league in the nation’s most-popular sport for nearly a decade and it took nearly a decade to deal with and it is still not over with appeal almost certain. A real mess

Kind of crazy to me that you had people giving Arsenal more hate for corner routines than for City's financial doping over the years. Or neutrals who would rather see City win because "Arsenal fans are annoying" Would love for this all to finally turn everyone against City as it should be

The investigations/charges only go up to 2018 but make no mistake: everything - absolutely everything - that City have done in the years since was built on the foundations of these breaches as well. And everything they continue to do in the coming years. There is no separating these things.

If Arsenal do end up getting three more titles out of this I wouldn't complain. The 23-24 team was absolutely deserving. That being said, they wouldn't hit the same. But for banter purposes, Mikel Arteta has four of them now.

Been fortunate to finally see kpop groups live this year and I'll say...while online discourse re Kpop can be toxic. I've found the live concerts to be amazing and have met so many great people. There are always people handing out bracelets, kids dressed like the members, lots of kind folks

So this is insane but its also highly damaging. All this shows is that players should be trying what Ballard did because the risk reward is so highly skewed towards reward. You can fake fouls in the box all day and force the refs hand and the system that SHOULD intervene to make the right call won't

So posting about Ramsey made me track down his highlights. Saddest past is the giant gap in goals between his backheel flick at the Lane and then the next goal is the final day of the NEXT season against Everton. Really sums up his Arsenal career. So good and talented but couldn't stay fit

If you asked me who my alltime favorite Arsenal player is. Fan since 06, really started following intently in 2012 or so. Grew up in the banter years. Aaron Ramsey really was the guy for me for a long time. Hard not feel influenced by the current team though. Ben White is a good shout and Kai duh

THEY are childhood friends from San Sebastian, who played football on Playa de la Concha, and received eclectic football educations that were influenced by the minds of men such as Johan Cruyff, Pep Guardiola and Rafa Benitez.

They were both fine, cultured midfielders, thinkers who were born to be distinguished coaches.

They met as coaches for the first time yesterday, dressed identically in the style of the fashionable manager, shortsleeved shirts, dark slacks and pumps with dashes of white.

But they are not in Basque Country any more. English football has them now. And yesterday afternoon, they were swallowed up by its passions and its glories. Mikel Arteta and Xabi Alonso, the managers of Arsenal and Chelsea masterminded an absolute barn burner of a game, a contest full of sound and fury and, sometimes, footballing beauty that was a credit to both of them.

At the end of the breathlessness, Arsenal ran out winners and even at this early stage of the season, it felt significant. Chelsea had come here as pretenders to Arsenal’s throne after a swashbuckling start to their campaign but even if they did themselves credit, they could not quite keep pace with the champions.

Alonso (right, with Arteta) saw his side produce some stunning attacking football and broke with lightning speed and skill. This result suggested they will improve dramatically on their 10th-place finish last season but that they have to take another step forward to be a match for Arteta’s side.

This Chelsea has many attributes but it cannot quite match Arsenal’s completeness. Arsenal are an eight or nine out of ten everywhere on the field. And their substitutes are on the same level.

Will really enjoy the League Cup as a bit of a free hit this year. Looked at it last year as a prime chance to get a trophy when we got far enough. This season, just rotate, play some kids, get minutes in the legs of Gyokeres, Zubimendi, and Timber and go from there. Result is absolutely optional

What annoys me about about when officiating errors happen is fanbases internalize them as “there’s a conspiracy against us specifically” The reality is that if every fanbase thinks this it means shit officiating is happening to everyone. Nobody seems to want the point the finger at the obvious.
