I think I was almost relieved when I noticed the lip-sync animation didn't match the English voices I can't stand dubbed VO in live-action or animation with anything more than lip-flap, so I might end up playing this with Japanese audio, which in a way could kinda prevent the jarring effect

I don't know what studio/team worked on this but it feels like it was made by a team of talented artists who have never worked with this kind of art style before and are still figuring out what works and doesn't work Definitely gives vibes of the first generation of games with normal maps + fresnel

It feels silly to be getting so invested in something like this but I guess it makes sense when I think about how much time I spent playing the original in my formative years, remaking it feels like somebody messing with my core memories

I have mixed feelings about remakes but of course I'm hyped to play the Ocarina of Time remake, it is probably my favourite game ever I'm still warming up to the art style though, it looks fantastic in parts but also very busy and noisy...I really wish Link's tunic and hat were a bit simpler 😢

Scored a new PB at archery tonight, for the second week in a row 💪 I'm not "good" by any stretch yet, but it feels pretty good to be learning a new skill and making measurable improvements

User discovery is still pretty awful here, but it looks like search is *finally* showing results for keywords in people's bios - I just discovered a ton of animator accounts I hadn't seen before by searching for things like "senior animator", "gameplay animator" etc.

I just had a peek at twitter - the main feed is still insane but in my old lists there are a bunch of people happily posting away with their animation like nothing has changed I don't want to go back there but I really miss my feed being full of animators, I wish we were all on one site again 😢
