Will you indulge me being a nerd for a bit? This is Frisco 4500, a 1942 4-8-4 Northern configuration steam locomotive built by Baldwin Locomotive Works specifically to pull The Meteor, flagship of the Frisco Railroad. It ran between St. Louis and OKC and now rests in the Route 66 Village in Tulsa.

Just wrapped Jen Silverman's Witch at Theatre Tulsa! What an amazing show. Darkly hilarious, witty, and punchy in all the right places. The cast did amazing. I got my playbill signed! Eating dinner at Dink's Pit BBQ in Bartlesville, a great family-owned spot since the '80s. Had the Dinkster, a pulled brisket and hot sausage sandwich. The name reminded me of Bill Paxton, so being in Oklahoma made it the obvious choice. Shout out to their mounted moose. Couldn't resist a selfie.

I was on-call with the Visiting Nurses’ Association for a couple of summers in my CNA era. The admin’s push is twofold here imo: one, many immigrants among CNAs. Two, they’re open about reinstitutionalization. If a mega-business can’t max profit while reducing services, they’re against the plan

Wild to see Democrats and Republicans agree. Droughts have pushed cattle production to a 75‑year low, and recent data center proposals will only worsen water scarcity. Adding 3 million pounds of imported beef from an undisclosed source on top of that is how you bankrupt already struggling farmers.

I've spoken about my hopes for a blue Kansas. The GOP model has manipulated working farmers for decades. Having a senator who is anti-tariff and farm first points towards important economic reform. A thriving farm community is a thriving Kansas. Let's give Kansans the quality of life we deserve.
