This is a good illustration of how so much of AI theft isn't indirect (ie, data sucked into a model to train the chatbot) - it's actually **direct** copying, but *enabled* by GenAI. Of course it is: chatbots absolutely suck at creating good, new stuff.

I just tried this as a method of sending a book to someone in America myself, and Blackwell's also knocked a pound off at checkout. £9.86, once the tax had been added, to send a brand new book from the UK to America. Royal Mail would have cost around £20, plus the price of the book. Astonishing.

Afterwards the barber fetched my duffle coat from the coat rack: a huge old heavy one I'd purchased, inexpensively, via a charity shop, and which friends and family had been fervently encouraging me to discard for several years.
