It’s either spend the majority of your money paying people to maintain your property or taking the time to do it yourself plus buying the equipment to do it effectively. I’m not complaining, rather, lamenting the reality that this would be impossible if I had a 40+hr job away from home.

Fully consuming and a full time job. I do most of the cleaning because I have an unreasonable standard of clean that I try not to impress upon my wife. I do all the home maintenance too, gutters, yard, mold cleaning, etc. It’s a full time job. Idk how people with real jobs actually do this daily.

Every night after we finish working and I finish cleaning up the kitchen I join my wife and daughter in the tv room and start doing my stretches and foam rolling. Our kid has been joining me the last week, mirroring all my movements. This feels like healthy parenting.

I been baking for lil cafes for a year now. One of the best parts is the continual testing and making minor/major changes in techniques. Sometimes, you nail it and the thing you make is fucking delicious. This Pain Suisse I made today after weeks of testing is the best thing I’ve ever baked.

NEW: DHS's Inspector General releases a scathing report about the Everglades detention camp known as "Alligator Alcatraz." The OIG finds that the now-closed camp, violated multiple ICE standards. The OIG also confirms detainees were punished with placement in a metal cage in the Florida heat.🧵

The cage itself is placed on a tiny spot of fake turf, and then surrounded by another chainlink fence with razor wire on top. The cage is covered by a roof, but it's entirely exposed to the outside otherwise, meaning mosquitos and no air conditioning.
