Every night after we finish working and I finish cleaning up the kitchen I join my wife and daughter in the tv room and start doing my stretches and foam rolling. Our kid has been joining me the last week, mirroring all my movements. This feels like healthy parenting.

I been baking for lil cafes for a year now. One of the best parts is the continual testing and making minor/major changes in techniques. Sometimes, you nail it and the thing you make is fucking delicious. This Pain Suisse I made today after weeks of testing is the best thing I’ve ever baked.

NEW: DHS's Inspector General releases a scathing report about the Everglades detention camp known as "Alligator Alcatraz." The OIG finds that the now-closed camp, violated multiple ICE standards. The OIG also confirms detainees were punished with placement in a metal cage in the Florida heat.🧵

The cage itself is placed on a tiny spot of fake turf, and then surrounded by another chainlink fence with razor wire on top. The cage is covered by a roof, but it's entirely exposed to the outside otherwise, meaning mosquitos and no air conditioning.

So my kid is mostly done learning to ride her bike and today we took her for a spin to her friends house down the main road and around. I was helping her balance a few times. A good number of cars past me, I could sense their smiles before I saw them, all beaming. The joy. Love is easy & beautiful
