10/16 - Burn, Witch, Burn aka Night of the Eagle (1962): I enjoyed this one. It reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock presents. The blocking and some framing is very soap operatic, but the cameras are often in motion. I’d love to see behind the scenes photos of the production.

McDonalds. I made it through the training videos, but at the start of my first real day, while waiting to be given a uniform, the manager yelled at me. I said to the person getting the uniform, “I don’t want to work here,” and clocked out.

I've moved from show to show, cutting everything from Fox Sports News to Goin' Deep to Rewind to the Southern California Sports Report to the Best Damn Sports Show Period to now FX Networks. Though when I moved out here I dreamt of editing movies, I'm beyond grateful for 30 years of constant work.

30 years ago today was my first day on this job. From the Fox Television Center to the Fox Network Center on the Fox lot to across the courtyard in Building 103, and now on Empire, from being called a part of Fox Digital to Fox NE&O to now Disney, I've survived all these changes.

COMIC: New Fantasy Book
PANEL 1: ARTHUR, a yellow duck, runs up to SHELDON, a ten year old boy with large glasses, laying in the grass. In ARTHUR’s mouth he holds a book.
ARTHUR: I got you a new fantasy book att he Library.
SHELDON: Ooo! What is it?

PANEL 2: ARTHUR has put the book down, while SHELDON sits up, annoyed.
ARTHUR: Does it even matter? You’ll read ANY sword ’n sorcery book.
SHELDON: How insulting! You think I’ll take any ol’ fantasy book you hand me? Whether or not it’s good?

PANEL 3: ARTHUR stands on one leg as he sings his respond. SHELDON stops his train of thought.
ARTHUR: [music notes] it has a maaaaap [music notes] of all the little kingdoms

PANEL 4: ARTHUR stands quietly, amused, as SHELDON, eyes dilated, goes nose-deep in the book. No text.

COMIC: William Carlos Williams (retweeted)
This single panel comic shows a peacefully bucolic scene with blue sky, white puffy clouds, trees in the background, green grass, a yellow birch tree casting shade down on ARTHUR, the yellow duck who smiles sweetly with his eyes closed. On the other side of the panel lays an iphone.

The poem has red lines crossing out words and written new ones in red.
