A man named Markwayne, let's just pause there for a minute, wants to stop international travel into several of the world's biggest international travel hubs weeks before the World Cup plays over 50% of their matches in those cities, including the final held in New York. Brilliant. No notes.

Alec Papadakis out as USL CEO. Robert Hoskins out as Chair. Both NuRock guys who have controlled the league for years. McDonough now CEO (and President). Papadakis co-chair with PE partner Kewsong Lee (previously vice chair). Less NuRock power, more PE power. Does it mean anything? Who knows.

The NYC DOT doing better than FIFA and frankly USSF at using the World Cup for "growing the game". Actual programming that isn't designed to monetize everything at every turn.

I'm sorta alive as a cold is kicking my arse a little, and while there are other good games available in the Concacaf region tonight, I'd encourage tuning into Westchester SC vs. Sarasota Paradise right now on ESPN+. @usltactics.com and I are both pretty high on WSC's Kyle Evans, FWIW. #USL-1

Another good discussion. Few things... 1. Actual D1 sanctioning matters. 2. I think they are correct. This does sound far more "real" than lots of the USL media releases. 3. I think we see promotion playoffs in the 2nd and 3rd divisions.

Being honest... it is VERY hard to continue to support US Soccer's national teams just because of how they have tied themselves to Trump in the past, how FIFA has also... I know a few of the players are outspoken against him but you know it is just damn hard.

Good discussion. IMO, the PLS will be changed. There is no way USSF will risk another lawsuit to stop this. Frankly, USL is a better partner for US Soccer than MLS is now (eg: Open Cup) and I think they will be rewarded for that.
