There are multiple reasons why the death penalty shouldn't exist, but the main two I always fall back on: 1. It does nothing to deter murderers, but more importantly; 2. It's not justice, it's revenge.

Speaking of the mixing of grief and happiness.... 3 years ago we adopted our Britt. In the midst of still grieving our Roscoe, she gave us exactly what we needed at that time.
