I voted for Carney to avoid PP, but he's gone from highly disappointing (enviro, corp welfare, etc) to now, with these labour restrictions, it's all too much. It's crossed a line for me. I was living/working in NYC back in 2001. I was working at the WTC the week of 9/11. I wasn't there yet the morning of the attack, but had it been a few hours later I very well might not be here today. The city basically shut down in the aftermath, and I was ultimately forced to return to Canada.

The ONLY thing that a cyclist keeping to the side of the road accomplishes is encouraging drivers to make DANGER-CLOSE passes that put that cyclist's life at risk. Any law demanding cyclists ride aside is anti-cyclist BS designed to save motorists a few SECONDS at the expense of cyclist LIVES.

On a typical mortgage it's now very easy to end up paying as much to the bank in interest as the cost of the home. We all need housing - why do we view banks making this massive profit off everyone as acceptable? Government could offer citizens interest-free mortgages.

E-scooters are not dangerous. Not substantially moreso than cars, bicycles, roller skates, skateboards, etc. If you rip around inexperienced on any of those things, you *will* hurt yourself. E-scooters are simply the most *available* option for most people to act like idiots at speed right now.

90% of North American bike stores are focused almost exclusively on performance oriented cycling - all Lycra bib shorts and carbon fibre parts. As an ex-racer who spent 15 years in that world now trying to *exit*- there's a huge opportunity there to broaden cycling appeal to a more general audience.

Overpowered e-bikes are a scourge. Our 500watt/32kph maximum is a good limit. That said, wherever police intend to start testing e-bikes for being capable of exceeding that limit (and they SEIZED this one for going over) THESE ASSHOLES BETTER DAMN WELL BE DOING THE SAME FUCKING THING FOR CARS! 🙄
