Oh, the steam deck has its own screensaver when you leave it on now?

This person decided to shoot their shot and tbh I respect it

On a suggestion form for ace combat 8, someone asked for a dating sim spinoff and body pillows of all the characters, including the planes.

I've definitely spent way more time uninstalling and opting out of AI than I've ever spent using it. Or even thinking about using it.

Ren Alex-Rose, narrative designer for Galactic Racer, on Biddy Blas:

“He’s a genuine ‘mama’s boy.’ He sends his mother the credits he earns, and she dreams of seeing him appear on a cereal box. Yes, he dreams of being famous, but it’s all for his mother.”

Awwww so his childishness makes perfect sense

She seems to grow really well from independent training for some reason? Though i don't know why.

He's really the perfect little side character who thinks he's the main character.

Another weird comparison that I can think of is Bulletstorm's writing, though obviously they go for very different tones. Bulletstorm is intentionally dumb and crass as hell, but underneath it there is a similar level of brevity that manages to still do all the storytelling things it needs to do.

Galactic Racer has this level of quality in all of its little conversations. It's really impressive.

This is why I think Galactic Racer has really good writing. Making something that is short but flows well, is charming, and says everything that needs to be said is genuinely very hard to do. Being brief AND good is just as hard, if not harder, than writing something long and profound.

It must be weird having everything sort of handed to you really easily without you ever doing much to get it

This absolutely blows, but it's understandable that the devs are concerned about this. This shit isn't new, but I imagine AI has made it much easier to do.

Day 16: Vocal theme I probably have a few, but this is the only one I can think of at the moment. Answers from FF14. Probably better known on the wider internet as where the "minor spelling mistake" gif came from youtu.be/39j5v8jlndM

FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn - End of an Era

YouTube video by FINAL FANTASY XIV

It's so incredibly pathetic lol. Smacks of some school kid bringing something to the dipshit kid group and desperately hoping it'll make them think he's cool

Glad to hear that the OoT remake is not just a 1:1 thing, but seems to build on it.

Yup. The main point of such statements seem to be about justifying being an asshole. It's usually wrapped in some stupid thought process like "harassment is bad, but I read a post saying this particular person is also bad, so I will now gleefully spend all my time harassing them"

The fact that the enemy elite squadron canonically plays their war chant music over open comms as they arrive on the field as a sort of psychological thing is anime as fuck and I love it

Some of the tracks do the thing where it starts off with what is basically enemy boss music, and then your music shoulders it out of the way as you clash with them. It's great.

I tried one of the newer endgame planes and while the thing looks cool and turns on a dime, it does feel pretty op? Flying a normal plane somehow feels better. So back to digging around further back in the tech tree to see if there's anything that stands out to me.
