the issue with the "proxy war" is that: 1. Russia is a belligerent. Therefore it isn't, by definition, a proxy war with Russia. 2. It labels Ukraine as a proxy. Thus denying them agency and opening the door to the argument "it's the USA that caused the war". And it isn't, it's Putin.

I read that children 6-12 are more likely to be killed in Gaza because they’re too big to be carried, and not as fast as children 12+, and I can’t stop thinking about it. We have children running for their lives on the regular so much so that there are patterns as to who survives.
