Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 26/09/2026He certainly was grilled and roasted but I don’t think he, the Labour Party or Westminster give a toss. He could have pulled his Y-fronts over his head and refused to answer the question for all the difference it would have made. Ultimately, they deny Scotland its right to self-determination. 030
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Just as he was in April in the run-up to the Holyrood election. Will we see a referendum this side of the next Holyrood election? 010
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 17/09/2026You may have come into politics to achieve independence but that was a while ago. Seeking achievement is a fine thing but only if you have a plan to achieve your goal. Otherwise, without a plan, there is no goal and ultimately no achievement. What's the plan? 011
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Devolution isn’t enough. Only independence will do. More devolution will only strengthen the unionist case for keeping Scotland in the Union. 050
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 14/09/2026The form is asking for far more information than is normally required to sign an unofficial online petition. Even organisations such as UK Parliament e-petitions and Change, org don't ask for full postal addresses. Why do Believe in Scotland insist on the postal address? Genuine question. 120
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 13/09/2026GB News and the Farage brigade appear mildly outraged that EU flags outnumbered the Union Jacks at the Proms. Clearly they’d have preferred a sea of their own manky boxer shorts instead. 173
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I agree everyone needs to play their part. Indy needs all of us. But we can’t keep telling people to push while the vehicle meant to take us there has run out of petrol and the leadership won’t refuel it. They need to take responsibility, set a clear route and get Scotland moving towards indy. 010
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 13/09/2026It shouldn’t have come to this. Why are the Scottish Greens having to force a vote on a moratorium when John Swinney and the SNP could have acted themselves? If there are genuine concerns about hyperscale data centres putting pressure on Scotland’s resources why wait to be forced into action? 105417
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 05/09/2026They’re doing their best to administer the Scottish Parliament within the constraints of devolution, and that does bring some benefits to Scotland. But I feel the SNP has settled into being the Government of devolution. Everything beyond that increasingly feels like smoke and mirrors. 000
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 05/09/2026It certainly appears the SNP leadership has other priorities that don’t include the fight for independence. It’ll probably be shelved until they’re back on the opposition benches, when they’ll make plenty of noise about independence but won’t actually be in a position to do anything about it. 160
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Haven't read it yet. Was Independence a main priority? I hope so. 020
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 27/08/2026The underlying criticism of the SNP is that after many years in government it has become somewhat detached from its original grassroots and independence-focused purpose. And, above all, it requires a renewed sense of purpose beyond managing a devolved Scottish Parliament on behalf of Westminster. 132
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 26/08/2026We know all of this John. Instead of just repeating what Labour is doing to us, can you tell us what there is that you can actually do about it. And more importantly, what you will be doing about it? 1224
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 25/08/2026Both Baillie and the BBC know the stats. Backing the SNHS doesn’t serve their aims. Criticising the Scottish Government, defending the Union and downplaying the SNHS paves the way for more privatisation - their apparent goal. Baillie truly is a traitor to Scotland. 110
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Absolutely spot on 👌 We need people at the top with the courage to stand their ground. People who aren’t afraid of upsetting the Westminster establishment or the unionist opposition at Holyrood. People who are willing to step up, take the fight to them and stand firm regardless of the backlash. 030
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Since 2014: The Better Together lies have been exposed. The broken promises have been laid bare. “The Vow” has proved to be nothing more than empty words. Scotland must now have a second referendum on independence. Otherwise, Westminster’s version of democracy is built on lies. 14127
Robert F @chippyman.bsky.social · 24/08/2026So, as I mentioned above. If the SNP has no intention or set plan to deliver a second referendum, why have they stood on three successive manifestos since 2014 pledging one? Surely they're not just fishing for votes? 010
