I just finished listening to @alixeharrow.bsky.social ‘s beautiful novel “The Everlasting” and now I don’t want to read anything else because I want to let the story sink into my brain forever. 10/10, I plan to read it again (Thanks @roseciesla.bsky.social for recommending it 🌳🐉♥️)

Like usual (June 1) we put up our #pride flag. The other day our friendly(older) neighbour asked my husband “I saw the flag, is everything okay?” My husband,”yeah… we had it up last year too, why are you asking?” The neighbour shrugged and sputtered nonsense. Wtf was the oldguy asking?

If you are like me, and take medication for #ADHD, why doesn’t the pharmacy auto renew the meds for you? Because lets be honest- I consistently forget to call in time(including calling the doctor to get a new prescription)🫠

I’m still processing the horrible mass shooting that happened in Tumbler Ridge B.C. that has shaken our nation. My children are 10, 15 and 18. Nearly all my jobs have been in one way or another supporting and/or educating children. To say my heart is broken, is not enough.

Snippet from "The First Woman of the Qingyan Sect" by Chezza Lee in the All Worlds Wayfarer Into the Dark anthology: "We were taught to protect this town from the forces that lived in the shadows. As I grew, the memories of blood, the iron-lashed stench of death, lessened in intensity. I reiterated Shifu’s words so often, they became my own personal mantra. Fight evil. Save the innocent. But it wasn’t until I descended the mountain that I realized my choices would never be that simple."
