I still avoid the Crypt Keeper as much as possible because my parents watched Tales From The Crypt super often and used to make fun of me because I was scared of it and they'd play the laugh just to be able to laugh at my reaction and tears. A fun fact from my childhood trauma and C-PTSD.

Hi, I’m Brady.
Do I enjoy politics? No.

Do I know what I’m doing? No.

But am I qualified? Also no.

I was born in Williams Lake and raised in Kelowna since I was 10. These are the streets I biked every day, the cars I threw crab apples at (sorry), and the parks I played in. Seeing this city grow has been cool, but with growth has come a whole new spectrum of challenges. Running for council is the last thing I saw myself doing this year. I don’t like meetings, I don’t like having to be certain places at certain times, and I’m allergic to stuffy offices. But unfortunately, I happen to like Kelowna, and think I can help do some good.

I graduated from UBCO in 2015ish (long story) and worked for 4 years as a robotic automation engineer. As cool as the job was, it was soulless, and I wanted to use my abilities for more than just helping huge companies save money.

Since 2019, I’ve been building The Rogerie.
Starting as a farmers market booth beside the mall, my wife and I began turning plastic waste into new products in our laundry room. Seven painful years later, and we have a pretty awesome shop downtown by Sprout (come check it out!) where you’ll find me just about every day.

Had to deal with a chat bot the other day, the first time in a while. It was definitely more intuitive than the ones I used to have to deal with, but still has some noted things that can't replicate a human. And it was clearly telling me what I needed to do afterward and it still got things wrong.

Someone should look up the movie Fanboys from 2009, which parodied the types of people this is actually about. Or The People Vs George Lucas. Or been in the Pokemon fandom during Gen 5. Spoiler-Free Mini-Review: We watched Toy Story 5. I'm sorry to say that it's actually not bad. Definitely much better than 4 for me (and my wife argues it's better than 3). Some good tear jerker moments and solid laughs.
