In 2018 I travelled to Antarctica as part of Homeward Bound, so it was special to reconnect at the Postcards from Antarctica exhibition, showcasing artwork from the 2024 journey - it brought back a flood of memories! For National #ScienceWeek, explore the exhibition: lnkd.in/g6kgZF4U

“I wish we’d had that for my PhD!” - My thoughts watching the Opera Phenix and JANUS liquid handling robot in action, an incredibly generous gift to our lab from the Parkinson’s Research Foundation. An example of the power of philanthropy to unlock public research potential @revvity.bsky.social

‘Excited’ summed up how the Mentees, and us Mentors, are feeling about the UOW Alumni Mentoring Program kicking off for 2026. The end of uni can be confronting and figuring out what comes next daunting. I’m excited to offer a safe place to ask all the questions that help make this path easier.

I’ve always been intimidated by baking as following the recipe rarely works for me. Then it finally clicked - recipes = protocols, and thus likely require optimisation. I feel like I’ve just unlocked a dormant (and delicious) skill set 💪😋
