So accidently finished this tonight and it's a fun zelda-lite action-adventure game with a very timey-wimey plot going on! Graphics and music are decent, and great that you can save anywhere. Getting hit by a boss or enemy or their projectiles can result in you ping-ponging...

For those of you who don't necessarily understand the nuances of translation but want to learn, here's a line-by-line analysis of Castlevania 2 in English, Japanese, and an English retranslation. As written, it needs essentially no prerequisite knowledge to understand. bisqwit.iki.fi/cv2fin/diff

A remake of the NES game Battle of Olympus is scheduled to hit early access next year. From the original devs, looks like they're updating the pixel art to 16-bit-ish. Hope for the best! store.steampowered.com/app/5013380/...

Decided to try goof troop on a whim and I'm glad I did! it's a fun little action-puzzle game that encourages you to play 2 player. You can play 1 player but as you progress you can tell the game wants you to play 2 player by some of the puzzles and enemy placements.

you know, much as i don't like ai, i randomly threw some of my adhd feelings and thoughts at google ai and actually helped me narrow and be able to write out a number of things regarding my life and adhd meds, and actually had a few good suggestions for me. I guess that's a win.

Time to speak up. Let Twitch know what you think of their genAI plans. I sure did. twitch.uservoice.com/forums/92338...

Twitch does not need to use genAI. Its strength lies in real, human interactions between viewers and casters. We have no desire to participate in this mania. I also don't understand how you intend to make money on a technology that most people find repulsive and know is bad for the environment, eliminates jobs, impedes creativity and critical thinking. It seems certain that whatever losses Amazon is eating for Twitch will be made much worse by forcing this potentially disastrous implementation. You still have time to walk back this idea before irreparable harm comes to the platform.
