The zebra jumping spider. Commonly found in urban areas such as gardens, around buildings and including in your house, they are tiny but mighty. They don’t spin webs but can jump about 10cm. They are highly unlikely to bite and are not aggressive (unless they feel threatened).

A male eastern bluebird. A rarity for the Edmonton area and Alberta. Male Eastern Bluebirds are vivid, deep blue above and rusty or brick-red on the throat and breast. Blue in birds always depends on the light, and males often look plain gray-brown from a distance. Females are grayish above with bluish wings and tail, and a subdued orange-brown breast.

Happy 99th birthday to the man who gave voice to the wild. 🎉 Sir David Attenborough, thank you for a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with wisdom, wonder, and grace. You've inspired generations to fall in love with nature.
This photograph captures Sir David Attenborough seated outdoors on the rugged terrain of Skomer Island. Behind him, the ocean and coastal cliffs form a scenic backdrop under a clear sky. Sir David, dressed in a khaki jacket and light trousers, looks towards the camera with a gentle expression, exuding a sense of warmth, calm, and wisdom. Around him, puffins can be seen flying and perched on the rocky ground, illuminated in rays of golden sunlight as the sun sets behind the cliffs.

A Black Bear wanders through a burned out forest with fresh green growth on the forest floor. The Rio Celeste waterfall in Costa Rica, with water flowing into a beautiful bluish green lake. Sheep stand on the road in front of a mountain scene in Jasper National Park, Canada. A misty morning in the Khutzeymateen, in BC, Canada. Fog covers both the water and nearby trees.
