Update: I have been circled several times and secretly smelled.
I'm in the foreground on the right and on the left, over my shoulder, you can see a dark gray cat with a cautious look on his face.

I believe fraternity hazing and military hazing and sports team hazing where men abuse each other is acclimating them into a broader culture of abuse where they will then believe it is their right to abuse other more vulnerable people. It’s so insidious. And that’s also why I think men defend it

This is the most remarkable story Ray Bradbury ever shared with me. He told it to me late one night, sitting in his den of antiquities and mementos. Take five minutes to read this. It’s pure magic. #Writing #Living #Creativity #RayBradbury #BookSky

I'm trying to explain to my new outdoor friend the benefits of becoming an inside friend.

The first rule of Overexplaining Club is you do not talk about Overexplaining Club because this is a secret club and we want it to stay a secret, but if you talk about it then people will know it exists, thus ruining the secrecy.

I deleted a couple of drafts about today's anniversaries and the importance to me of a certain collection of IP. Instead I'm going to let it go. It's hard to say goodbye to things we've held dear. They lost my attention long ago and I do not look forward to seeing it warped into something dreadful.

Apparently you only want to hear from tech people who work in tech for tech's sake. Your broken survey actually prefectly demonstrates what's wrong. You say you want answers but you don't. Complete your understanding by finding the one mid-level person who advocated for better Qs and lay them off.

"They're weeds," they whine through their noses, while demanding the fruit for themselves. Not for nourishment, but for spite. Quiet toil is the only capital this venture has known. The only skin in this game is shredded by the briars, a bloody card that no rook can trump.

Sit still for too long here and the kudzu will consume you. So you work, as they once did. You work in the thick mist with the mourning doves; you work with the whip-poor-wills deep into the night.

It’s almost time to harvest. Winter was harsh, Mercury is retrograde. An automatic calls out from the holler behind us and the thunder responds, echoing off the mountains, rumbling the ancient stones. The air is thick, the heat is oppressive.
Close on a bunch of wild blackberries, eight red ones and one black.

Fair question. "No additional design work" doesn't mean "no design." It means no redundant design. You establish Moob's core design system once—typography, brand colors, and asset ratios. Our pipeline automatically translates that identity into native Roku components.

You’d be surprised how many major streaming companies lock their designs into a 16x9 assumption. Moonstone is built to avoid those compromises. Ubiquitous access isn’t an upsell; it’s the baseline for survival. Let's build your channel. moonstone.network

This same hyper-responsive principle guided our video player architecture. We natively handle any aspect ratio—vertical or horizontal—without letterboxing or postage-stamping. The app automatically chooses the best version based on device orientation.

The Roku Exception: Roku requires a separate BrightScript codebase. We solved this by writing custom pre-build tools that share our TypeScript libraries, automating the generation of components and sprites from code so a new app requires no additional design work.

We built Moonstone Core on a unified codebase. It utilizes a hyper-responsive architecture that fluidly adapts to fit any screen. Because our core runs from a single source of truth, UI updates roll out over-the-air instantly without App Store delays.

Which platforms should your streaming service support? If the answer isn’t “all of them,” you’re compromising. At Moonstone, we refuse to charge a "per-platform tax." We deploy iOS, Android, web, Apple TV, Fire TV, and Roku out of the box. Here is how we do it: 🧵
I diagram titled Moonstone: Architecting for Reach: The Unified Codebase.

A box on the left labeled Moonstone Code (Signal Source of Truth) is marked as "1x Engineering Cost".

An arrow from that box to the right points to a area with icons of laptops, TVs, and mobile devices labeled Native & Web (Fluid Adaptation) is marked "Ubiquitous Access"
