My baby boy will be 15 in a couple of months. He’s as happy and spry as ever, but a little cloudier in the eyes and grayer in the face.

A drawing of a woman with a black dog curled up on her lap, with the caption “If I pull out all your gray hairs, will it stop you from getting old?”

just became aware of this--the regime wants to clear-cut massive chunks of Oregon's old growth forests in the name of timber production. you have until March 23rd to comment. i know we have endless fucking things to scream at politicians about--this is an important one too.

I worked very hard on this so I'm going to be very annoying about it for a while ;w; I don't often have personal work to show!

Apropos of nothing, some of my favorite animated stories (out of the US) came out of the last 5 years. The thing they have in common is that they’re so deeply personal, I can feel the storyteller in every choice. They’re stories that made me go “who is this even made for?!” but in the best way.

Pretty grotesque how lawmakers are pushing for stricter work requirements for food/medical assistance while private industries are going all in on AI to eliminate the need for human workers

This is wild. When I worked at Disney Interactive ages ago, we would get pushback from branding on the tiniest things because they were so protective of how Mickey & co. moves, looks, and behaves. Any animation I produced went through *several* iteration passes. Is that even possible with GenAI??

Things have definitely shifted to Fall in our yard. I haven’t had many flowers to give away this year because of slugs and Japanese beetles but I try to put out bouquets when I can. I do have lots of lettuce starts to give away tho!

Remember when everyone discovered the lighting effects in Photoshop 5 or whatever and suddenly lens flare was in everything? And eventually it became a gag because not only was it an obvious crutch, but it also looked cheap as hell? Anyway how's all that weird yellow AI art going

People act like Americans are irreparably fractured but the Saja Boys' "Your Idol" climbing the Billboard Top 10 charts shows us that we can find common ground: being thirsty little bitches for a group of beautiful demon boys

It's a crime that Netflix doesn't have official Huntrix music videos online ala K/DA (yes I know there are lyric videos, but I mean MVs that aren't re-cut from movie footage). I want MORE!!! #kpopdemonhunters

The truly sinister part of all of these layoffs is that they’re also studios that require you to move, which not only means to a high cost center but to a place that may be far from your support network, your established friends and family. They just want your labor at the expense of your life.

Decided this year that I’m going to step up my trellis and plant support game. T posts and PVC pipes worked fine but I wanted something that looked a little better. Here’s the first of my DIYs: a hinged trellis for my peas!
