my brother is an exec in his uni's tabletop club and someone asked him for advice for making a deadlock d&d 5e homebrew the answer to these this kind of thing is *usually* "just play shadowrun, cyberpunk, or call of cthulhu" but honestly deadlock is one of the better settings to homebrew D&D with

binge rewatched azathoth blues last night and yeah - this pretty much sums it up. it's a very good audio drama. beyond the fun mystery and characters it also kinda feels subtextually like a criticism of corporatization and entertainment in the ""age"" of AI (and destructive technologies like it).
