I first had the idea for this in April 2022, didn't start drawing it until April 2023, worked on it last in 2024, then last night thought 'fuck it I'm finishing it.' #ofmdart #gentlebeard

illustration of Ed and Stede from OFMD, designed to look like a romance novel cover. Ed is in front of Stede, back to Stede's front, wearing nothing but the blue robe, a black cravat, and a string of pearls. the robe is falling off his shoulders, and opened at the bottom to reveal his legs. he's looking back over his shoulder at Stede with a smitten expression. also his tongue and nipples are pierced. Stede is wearing a white shirt that is open, showing off his bare chest. a red sash is around his waist and he's wearing black trousers. He's looking down at Ed softly. His right arm is up and holding onto a mysterious rope coming down from somewhere. His left hand is over Ed's on his waist. they are standing on a ship's deck, and the sea and cloudy skies are behind them. a lone seagull flies in the distance. in the bottom left corner is pink text that reads "Gentleman Pirate". in the top right corner is white text that reads "David Jenkins"

Ed and Stede are fighting, swords locked against each other. They both look angry and Ed is flipping Stede off. Ed shouts "FUCK YOU, STEDE BONNET!!!" and Stede responds "FUCK ME YOURSELF, YOU COWARD!!!" pointing at Ed.

Similar as previous panel, but Ed looks dumbstruck, and Stede looks cautiously hopeful, holding out a hand to Ed.

Ed and Stede are lying in a bed, Stede on his back and Ed sprawled across his chest, arm around him. They both look happy and peaceful. In the background is an open door, and Izzy is standing in it, looking furious. Stede is flipping him off.

Was there some sort of American sportsball event tonight? I was busy with very important things: continuing to art through the hurt from chapter 31 @serpentanddahlia.bsky.social's exquisite Right Where You Left Me 🥲 #OFMDfanart #OFMDfic

Color illustration based on a scene from Chapter 31 of the OFMD modern AU Right Where You Left Me by serpent_and_dahlia.

Stede Bonnet and Edward Teach are dancing in fancy costumes at Ed's mum's Brigerton themed birthday party. Stede is wearing a teal velvet topcoat with frilly lace shirt cuffs peeking out as he holds Ed's white-gloved hand in a waltz pose. Ed is wearing a white empire waist gown with fluttery cap sleeves and his hair is styled in an elaborate swirly updo with a few "slut strand" tendrils artfully escaping.

The couple is backlit against pink tent drapery and enveloped in a soft yellow glow. Despite the romantic setting, they are making intense yet miserable eye contact with each other: Ed looks angry, Stede looks pained.

Ed and Stede lying in swirling beach grass. They're holding hands and looking at each other. There are little white flowers in patches around them, some of the patches are shaped like hearts, including the one between their faces. Two gulls are flying overhead. The boys are in their academy outfits - billowy white shirts, black pants and dark gray socks- but Ed has a little more of a beard than in that episode. Stede's shirt is unbuttoned and open, Ed's is unbuttoned only halfway and still tucked in.
