Thale impales a zombie through the torso while tuening around to intercept the next large corse enemy breaking through some bunker doors. Tano is mid dispatch of a zombie, one of her knives rending a deep wound across the neck as she pulls on its hair while keeping herself safe from its retaliation. Gris has knocked out one giant corse themselves with their greathammer, the force sending it reeling back while a zombie jumps & grabs onto one of their arms, much to their visual annoyance. Various zombie bodies litter the floor of the research facility the trio find themselves in.

it's very obvious what kind of game it's trying to be and doesn't really lack much cohesion so far while dd2's systems constantly felt extremely specific, niche, and ambitious but incomplete

dd2da feels like a different game from the basegame and for me that's a positive so far. it's even more combat focused and has more systems built around replayability, the story is more linear but has an actual flow to it so far, and there's a main gameplay loop that's very prominent

Had this happen to me once for a vrc model in a small community of artists, when I finally did get something a year later it was completely broken, meanwhile I saw them making stuff just fine for content creators. Few months later that community kicked them out.
