🚨New preprint doi.org/10.64898/2026.06.07.730682. We show that zebrafish larvae exhibit complex, internally generated, spontaneous behavioral patterns in the absence of stimuli. These dynamics can be described by a simple Markov process with transition probabilities that change over time.

The SonoRo robot platform in action at #ANTS2026. Individual robots find/repel each other and show flocking using only their acoustic beacons. This is much like many animal/insect groups. Here we show even simple rules and coarse sensory capabilities give rise to collective behaviour. 1/N
