Super cool research: spontaneous problem solving in bees. In humans, this is like being handed a hammer and nail for the first time: If you’ve never seen either, you’re lost. If you’ve only seen one, you’re still stuck. But knowing what both do separately, there’s a chance you can work it out.

When did colors appear in the biological world? And which came first, color vision or coloration? By >100M years, it was color vision first, then coloration of fruit, then flowers, then warning signals, then sexual signals. For sexual signals, coloration and color vision evolved simultaneously.

Last year, a pastor saw masked immigration agents arresting someone at her church and filmed them. DHS denied they were there. A year later, DHS finally acknowledged the incident — days after WH border czar Tom Homan claimed "no one has been arrested at a church." religionnews.com/2026/09/30/t...

Do federal immigration agents make arrests at churches? Depends on what day you ask.
(RNS) — Over the past year, the Trump administration has issued contradictory and, at times, seemingly false statements about whether federal agents have conducted operations at churches.
