#FossilFreeFuture #JustTransitionNow We stand united with our global colleagues to end fossil fuels and demand a just transition—because our world is at a breaking point. Climate chaos, rising inequality, and war are deepening, but collective action can still secure a liveable future.

Should federal ministers be able to exempt their corporate friends from labour laws? Environmental protections? Indigenous rights? Bill C-15 would give them that power. I just told my MP this is unacceptable. What about you? #BillC15 share.nwmd.social/s/Ej0qxwdP

By end of day Thursday, please consider signing and sharing our our open letter to the Senate of Canada calling for climate-aligned finance act. Almost 500 people have signed on already. Thx for sharing. Most sign-ons come from NGO listservs & personal asks. Sign: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
Tax dollars are not enough to fund the green transition alone. We need our banks to stop financing the fire. Support Senator Galvez's private members bill Bill 238 #CAFA
Belw is a Zoom photo of Senator Galvex surrounded by people holding up I support CAFA signsCatherine Ethier's Testimonial
She is from Newmarket-Aurora

I support the Climate-Aligned Finance Act (CAFA) because, as a former energy regulator, I have seen firsthand how misalignment between policy objectives, regulatory frameworks, and capital allocation creates systemic risk. Climate risk is not theoretical-it is operational, financial, and material.
CAFA addresses this reality by moving Canada beyond voluntary commitments toward clear alignment and accountability. It requires reporting entities (including federally regulated financial institutions) to integrate physical and transition climate risks into governance, decision-making, and capital allocation, consistent with Canada’s legally binding climate commitments and global net-zero pathways.

What distinguishes CAFA is its focus on credibility and delivery. By embedding climate expertise, strengthening transparency, and aligning financial flows with real-world outcomes, the Act supports prudent risk management, protects financial stability, and enhances Canada’s long-term economic competitiveness.
The energy transition will be financed. CAFA helps ensure it is financed by design-with foresight and accountability-rather than by crisis. That is why I support CAFA.
“Testimonial graphic featuring Lyn Adamson smiling at the camera on the right. Text on the left reads: ‘I support the Climate Aligned Finance Act. I have worked on the ever-worsening climate crisis since 2010. I am always seeking and supporting the most effective measures that will bring down our CO2 emissions. Regulation matters. The energy transition will be financed. CAFA helps ensure it is done in a fair and transparent way. Our kids will benefit from this and that’s the most important reason to support this. As a grandmother of three, this matters. Let’s act now for a climate-safe future.’ Below the text is the flag of Ontario and the name and riding: ‘Lyn Adamson, Toronto St. Paul’s.’ The background is dark brown with green accent lines.”
