I shared a couple of thoughts on this: 1. Shareholder advocacy based on "investor rights" raises questions. Why do companies' owners dictate the pace of climate action? Climate change is societal and environmental damage. Policy and regulation should mediate what is socially needed. Policy needed.

3. Commitments do not always match delivery: The UK and Canada both initially committed to more policies than delivered, sometimes entirely different ones. Some jurisdictions took a more cohesively strategic approach to implementation (like Australia), and others more fragmented (like Canada).
