Every single thing is The Producers now. Nobody actually trying to do something, just trying to buy companies and ruin them as a stock market scam.

get yourself a grump Husband who loves old graveyard
FirefighterKindly349 OP • 14d

Amazing thank you! My grump Husband (who was a coal miner in England starting at age 16. Guess he has reason to be grumpy) loves old graveyard.
So do l! I am going to plan activities for us, stuff I know husband will like (kid is happy if husband is) so l have my first thing which is the graveyard.
Thanks! Any good antique stores? Just to look?

Reading has become an endangered species. Which is half the problem with American political life. Maybe more than half. If you can't read, you can't think. Then you can fall for anything. The idea, for instance, that the truth is fake news.

If this is all unfamiliar to you, let this remind you how normal it is for women to contemplate whether they are being targeted for attack in all sorts of places, from bars to parking lots to hiking trails. As I said in Recollections of My Nonexistence, it gets you even if it doesn't get you.

The more I think about it, the more the idea of treating couples who live together but choose not to marry like they've entered into a secret stealth marriage is an insult to all relationships - married and non-married alike. This week's New Statesman column www.newstatesman.com/politics/fut...

Treating cohabiting couples like they're married is a mad idea
A new campaign group wants to offer couples the same rights whether or not they've tied the knot

Incredibly difficult book to adapt - I thought she did a pretty solid job, considering. It's a bit uneven, especially for those who haven't read the book, perhaps a bit hard to follow, but overall one of the best films about trauma I've ever seen

Not yet! First I whittle it down, select priorities, then layout my schedule with first choice and second choice screening times. Usually hope to do 3-6 films across the festival, depending. Do you get some of these up near you?

...women's comfort to make the switch, even if it would improve outcomes overall. I just find it frustrating how unwilling women are to *complain* about things, especially related to healthcare. "Oooh, I should be grateful". How about f* that and ask for things, my god!

Cat Finnie @catfinnie.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
... observing the context that much of women's healthcare could be improved, is still underfunded and underexamined. To give an example, the way that speculums are still the designed-on-slaves antiquated device they are, when actually much better designs exist, we just don't care enough about...

Cat Finnie @catfinnie.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
One of my biggest 'toxic beliefs' is that women need to be less grateful all the time for things which are supposedly good, but actually not nearly as good as they ought to be if it weren't for our patriarchal capitalist society - i.e. grateful for healthcare (sure, it's good) but not...

Cat Finnie @catfinnie.bsky.social · 02/09/2026
It's wild because people have invented way better speculum designs, but the cost of moving over (training, equipment) has the system in inertia, even though it would improve uptake. Women need to complain way, way more. Too many socialised as masochists is our problem

Journalists need to stop describing these incidents in terms implying software has agency and intent. It does not. The people who created a faulty and dangerous product are the ones responsible for whatever happens, and must be held to account, with punitive financial penalties for damage done.

You gotta decide what your audience is - I'd suggest with the amount of time your pieces likely take, it's got to be premium. Then you can choose fancy paper, etc for a ltd run and price up accordingly
