In 1982 Omaha, a British family did a year-long house swap with one of our neighbors; they had a kid my age. I understood "bloody" as a classy way to say "dang" from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (I think?). I used it in some writing in class and the kid ran home and told his mom on me.

A freight train, led by GE C44-9W #5446 and GE ES44DC #7220, in spectacular golden light. The train is made of covered hoppers, mostly painted dark red. Behind them a steep wooded hillside rises, with a limestone outcropping visible.
