Back to the whole argument: The Raiders are in a hell division with Herbert, Mahomes, and the Broncos all being varying degrees of contending. They know they dont have a chance in hell to do anything right now, so why throw their rookie to the wolves when theres no expectations for him?

But I'm ALSO a Jaguars fan, and trust me, I know a thing or two about shitty QBs. Mendoza went to probably the best possible situation when it comes to what system he's in. He'd be starting for the Jets and Cardinals right now if things fell differently last season. Do YOU trust those teams?

and understand the little tips and tricks that their coaches may not be able to teach them. Especially nowadays, QBs have no time to develop and are expected to contribute immediately, and that's fucked over so many QBs. Sam Darnold. Blake Bortles. Alex Smith (to a degree).
