I’d never heard of “Choosin Texas” until Denny’s tweets about his own ignorance, but it’s not about cultural cachet, it’s because I’m in my 40s and exclusively listen to music written between 1991 and 2007. “New Music” to me is when a band I liked when I was 16 drops an album.

It’s not thinking, it’s doing specifically what it was trained to do in every situation. And how you know it’s not AI is when it encounters something novel, outside of its programming, it doesn’t guess. It pulls over and waits for a human to tell it what to do.

Of course he has, his job is keep the stock price up. If the definition of AI is a person telling a computer what to do (or what it should have done differently) hundreds of thousands of times over many millions of miles, I guess it’s AI. But that sure sounds like robotics programming to me
