First one my family owned? A Vic-20 with a cassette drive. later, an Atari 800xl. First one *I* owned? a TRS-80 M100 portable slab. First one I *liked*? A Mac SE with 2.5mb of RAM, and a 30mb HDD. (Izzys are old - all of those were *good* computers when purchased, for their purpose).

As noted, infrastructure and old and/or reinforced construction account for a bunch of it. Another factor is that the guest network is usually throttled to a certain amount of bandwidth available, to reserve sufficient wireless network bandwidth for patient care systems like computer carts, etc.

I guess the true answer would be Colossal Cave Adventure, or maybe Zork, but I'm not really sure how much those count as "video" games. So let's go with Ultima - specifically, Ultima IV, the one I burned endless hours on. (V and VI as well, but by that point I was mostly tabletop gaming).
