Decided to do a shake out scuba dive last night to try out a bit of new gear. I brought my camera, and grabbed some of my favorite nudibranch photos ever! (Also shrimp and fish are good)
An orange and white tipped nudibranch, Antiopella fusca, photograph against very dark kelp. It looks like a floating blob of translucent bulbs. White lined dirona nudi, Dirona albolineata, looking majestic against a dark background. Shriiiiimp. A Pandalus danae/ dock shrimp looking like it’s posing for the cameraA gunnel looking cool. Maybe a crescent gunnel/ Pholis laeta. They are not eels, just long fish. This sorta thing matters.

4-panel SMBC comic update. The first panel shows a cartoon little roach happily saying "oh man! The stupid human put food in here. fool!" The next panel shows the roach walking away from a poison trap as he says "I’m gonna give it to everyone!" The third panel shows a human at his computer with a similar expression to that of the cartoon roach. The man says "this stupid company made a controversial ad. How embarrassing for them!" The man then walks away from the computer desk, at an angle reminiscent to the panel where the roach walks away from the poison trap. The man says "better share with all my friends and family so everyone knows which ad not to look at."

The movement of the magnetic North Pole over 400 years www.nytimes.com/2019/02/04/s...
A map titled 'Heading North' showing the movement of Earth's north magnetic pole from 1590 to 2019. The map displays the Arctic region, including parts of Canada, Greenland, Russia, and Svalbard. A blue line traces the magnetic pole's path from southern Canada in 1590, meandering northward through the Canadian Arctic Archipelago until 1900, then continuing as a dotted line toward Russia through 2019. The geographic North Pole is marked with a black square. The map illustrates that the magnetic pole is moving about 35 miles closer to Russia each year.
