Went grocery shopping by cargo bike today, first real try at it! Ride was lovely and crisp, no aggro vehicles which was nice. The cart jockey at Sobeys let me park inside out of view! Giant plus, as the bike rack outside isn't actually attached to anything. My big bin was a perfect size. 😘🤌

Whew! Partner and I took the kids to summer camp via bike today, one on each, 50 minute round trip. It was a lot of fun even though I had a couple minor mishaps - backpack strap end caught in the derailleur, one dropped backpack, and period chafing. Would do again!

It may have been a wet foggy morning, but it was still a good bike the kids to school kind of day. Arrived at the same time as the other GSD rider with his kids as well! All the girls said hi to each other on the way down to the loop, I think being to ride with another pair is a fun experience. :)

Having a bit of an adventure in Guysborough County and noticed a small bike rack at the Port Bickerton Lighthouse! I don’t think I’d be personally comfortable coming here by bike, but it was super cool to see!

Fun bike time at school drop off today! I pulled up just behind another parent with the same blue tern gsd I have, and all four kids admired each others' bike. Had a nice chat with the dad and we beat the swarm of cars into the traffic circle!

Achievement unlocked! First night time bike ride! I rode to and from my book club tonight, taking a chance with having never ridden at after dark before. It wasn't far and the roads weren't busy in the slightest, though I did hit a surprise pothole. 😅

School pickup with the bike went great! I had only one panic moment when I had trouble getting started again on a steep hill with the amount of weight on it (mostly mine, I am not small). I put carabiners on the frame to help secure their backpacks like panniers, which actually worked really well.

Started getting my kids used to riding with me on the cargo bike because school pick up would be considerably nicer without a car involved, and in the span of 15 minutes we went from "AAAAA I'M GONNA DIE" to "woohoo this is fun! ✨" 😂
