ScotRail as an organisation believe integrated transport is free car parking outside stations. Also bike stands that can’t be used by people with non-standard bikes, à la Partick station. A consequence of giving transport decision-makers £9k car allowances.

How Saudi oil scientists ended up working on the world’s most important climate reports
Guardian investigation reveals fossil fuel links of IPCC authors, with experts declaring the body’s conflict of interest policy ‘not fit for purpose’ On her first day as an expert author on the world’s most important climate reports, Prof Julia Steinberger knew nobody else, so she sat down at a stranger’s table for breakfast. “Hi, I’m Julia. I’m from the University of Lausanne,” she said. The man across the table replied: “I’m Mustafa Babiker. I work with Saudi Aramco.” Continue reading...

“Build it, and they will come”… cargo bikes line up for Dublin school run
Up to 25 cargo bicycles outside a school; must it be the Netherlands? No, it's becoming the norm at some Dublin schools along newer, higher-quality cycle routes. Parents use cargo bikes to carry children as an alternative to cars, and businesses use them to carry goods as van replacements for some trips. Cllr Lorraine Hall, a councillor for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, is highlighting that a range of box bikes and long-tail cargo bikes are now pulling up outside primary schools in Blackrock and Dún Laoghaire near routes such as the Coastal Mobility Route (pictured).
