Also, it's not courageous to play dead when a high-profile movie is revealed to have used gen AI. Muster up that same vocal outrage you use against people outside your industry or those not in a position to help you, and apply it consistently if you want to be taken seriously. Otherwise, shut up.

I don't think audiences have become more sensitive so much as their tastes have shifted. In my angstier years, I wanted movies that pushed my limits. These days, I think a lot of people are looking for movies that offer a contrast from the bleakness outside the theater, even in horror.

"We used AI to determine that you used AI" is such a weird stance the more I think about it. Nobody needs to be using that kind of tech to decide if content is authentic. When you see or read something that was created by AI, it is so unmistakably obvious.

The opposite of obsession isn't about being together, it's acceptance. Love reaches a point where someone else's happiness matters more than whether you're the one providing it.
