I would just like to note that the Allies started winning WW2 when they moved from naming their tanks after racist Confederate loser traitors (Stuart, Lee) to naming them after righteous Union winners (Sherman). The British caught on to this earlier, renamed the Lee the Grant, and never looked back.

My main comment on data-driven sport strategy discourse is that a lot of fans in particular but also commentators mistake data insights for laws of physics as opposed to cracks in the meta that can be exploited, but only until a meta adapts & renders the exploit obsolete if not actively detrimental
