@alliemackie, you asked for some more photos of my wife's crocheted autumn wreath. I Here are some more photos of it. I hope you like them. We have it mounted to a wall here as an autumn dekoration Btw my wife was literally blown away by the feedback here […] [Original post on mastodon.social]
A hand-crocheted wreath laid against a rich, dark red background, making its colors glow even more vividly. The wreath features an assortment of lovingly crafted elements: sliced orange pieces with white centers, small round orange balls, fresh green leaves, brown cinnamon sticks tied with white ribbons, and clusters of red berries. Together they form a warm, festive decoration full of texture and detail, combining the fresh brightness of citrus with the cozy spice of cinnamon — a perfect handmade touch of autumn and holiday cheer.A close-up of a hand-crocheted wreath brimming with carefully crafted details. Along with the article, this is the most impactful quote I’ve read in a long time. Highlighting extreme systemic injustice, where destinations diverge, zero hope, zero chance ‘Though one group enters alive & expect to leave intact. The other enters alive & is guaranteed to leave in pieces’ #GoVegan

Lots of great online books read recently. I downloaded an App so I can read abridged books in intermediate Spanish. In the last few weeks I’ve read Dracula, Pride & Prejudice, The Secret Garden and Jason & the Argonauts in Spanish!

Y Caffi (the cafe) at Greenfield Valley has recently been taken over. I felt it was very welcoming. The young servers were attentive. The interior of the cafe is decorated in William Morris wallpaper, a calming sage green. I ordered an oat cappuccino and a falafel & vegan cheese toasted ciabatta 👌

I had a lovely walk around Flint docks and towards the castle this morning before work. I picked litter and doggy poop making sure the paths were clear and safe for #Parkrun. Very apt to see poppies and blue cornflowers growing together; on today, the anniversary of DDay. #DDay #WeWillRememberThem

If you are planning on visiting the Tarragona area of Spain I highly recommend these two eateries. El Vergel, #vegan restaurant near the cathedral and La Veggesaria a #Vegan patisserie a few minutes walk from Rambla Viejo. The cakes just blew me away, totally amazing.

It was like a morning of two halves at Parkrun today. At 08:45am seeing the BelugaXL-5 having just taken off in bright blue skies… then at 09:07… it’s all grey! Where did the sun go? But it was lovely anyway 🥰 What a morning, walking at #FlintCastle and the North Wales Coastal Path.
