I don't know whose idea it was to have mathemetician @3blue1brown.com give a keynote at #config2026, a conference for designers (stereotypically decidedly non-mathematical folks) but that person needs a raise. Freaking genius.

Hanging out waiting for the #config2026 opening keynote to start - I've only been to a couple conferences that weren't Tableau, and never as a local attendee, so this is a fun, interesting, and new experience. If you're also here, hit me up!

I've had a great time the last couple of days at #INFORMS Analytics+ 2025 in Indianapolis! I was asked by an old college friend to give a talk. It was my very first conference presentation so I was really nervous, but as a BIG bonus, my brother attended this conference with me! It's been awesome!

World's favourite cuisines. 25,000 people in 24 countries were asked which nation's food they preferred. Interesting results.
This diagram shows the percentage of people per country liking the cuisine of a list of countries. It shows that Italian, Chinese and Japanese cuisines are the most popular all across while Finnish, Peruvian and Saudi Arabian cuisines seem to be more challenging. It also shows that Japanese are most critical towards other cuisines and Philippines are most open.
